Notable achievements
Steve is currently on the DESNZ HNTAS (Heat Network Technical Assurance scheme) stakeholder consultation groups. He was on the BESA HIU Testing Steering Group and was a steering committee member for the CIBSE/ADE Heat Networks CP1: 2020 re-draft.
He is working on detailed responses to the various DESNZ Heat network technical assurance scheme (HNTAS) consultations.
He has completed the core legal training courses on Expert Witness work provided by the Expert Witness Institute.
He was Chair of the BSI drafting panel on BS5422:2023 ‘Pipe & Ductwork Insulation’ He has worked on research projects on Building Performance Evaluation and the DESNZ Building for 2050 for an ambient heat pump scheme.
The Beginning for Elan MEP Ltd.
Much of Steve’s work in the last 15 years has been focused on Heat Networks and Communal Heating and Cooling implementation, in large scale residential developments. The heat network market particularly is expanding, alongside new investment and Government commitment to regulate the industry. Elan MEP Ltd. is making a contribution to that success.
During Steve’s career to date, he has worked in the MEP sector on the Client-side, for Design & Build Contractors and in MEP Consultancies. His experience covers design, cost and project management in all aspects of Electrical, Mechanical and Public Health Engineering.
